What A Ride

Life in the full time ministry is certainly exciting. If someone would have told me 15 years ago that I would be involved in full time ministry with Teen Challenge, let alone start an adolescent center, and a T.C. in Cambodia I would have said they were crazy. But over the last 12 years that is exactly what has happened.

Now we begin a new adventure. I have resigned as Director of New Hope Academy TC Adolescent Center in PA, to assume the roll as Executive Director of a 20 bed men's TC center in Neosho. Missouri. Yes Neosho, that's about 14 miles south of Joplin, 70 miles west of Springfield. Along with our work in Missouri I will be continuing the ministry of helping to establish TC centers in SE Asia.

I will begin my new duties on February 1, Kathie will stay behind until the house is sold, and to continue care for her elderly aunt that lives with us.

Please keep us in prayer as Kathie and I walk through this time of change in our lives.

Living For Others

Welcome to my new blog. I'm the first to admit that by my very nature I am a private person. Yet over the years I have learned that to enjoy real joy in life you must be willing to live for others. United To Rescue is a ministry I began one year ago. It has a two fold purpose. First to develop Teen Challenge centers in countries around the world in need of the ministry of TC. Secondly, to develop a drug prevention program using the curriculum "Drug Proof Your Kids," written and developed by Focus on the Family.

Recently our first Teen Challenge center opened in Cambodia. We have a facility that will be able to eventually house 50 teens and adults. Currently we are considering the possibility of traveling to Vietnam to help start a TC.

Through this blog I hope to keep you posted about the ministry of UTR, along with updates from the Teen Challenge where I have the privledge to serve as Executive Director.

Feel free to contact me with your thoughts.
